Biography

One of three seniors on 2014-15 roster... ranks tenth all-time in rebounding average (7.4)...

Coach Bierly: “Shannon has come back from a shoulder injury last year. She has the ability to come off the bench and is always warm and ready to shoot and be ready to go. She is athletic and gets up in the air. She can be an instant offense.”

2013/14: Missed nine straight games after sustaining a shoulder injury early in overtime in the eighth game of the season against Rhode Island College... came off the bench for 12 second-half points in that game, tying the game and giving Eastern a four-point lead in the final eight minutes... named to the Eastern Tip-Off all-tournament team with 22 points and 14 rebounds, shooting 10-for-18 from the floor... was Eastern's only double-figure scorer in the final of that tournament, sharing game-high scoring honors with a season-high 16 points (7-for-12 FG) and leading the team with seven rebounds... averaged 10.3 points and 7.0 rebounds through the first four games of the year (three starts)... season-highs (p-r-a-b): 16-8-2-1...

 2012/13: One of two players to start all 26 games, giving her 43 consecutive starts beginning midway through her freshman season... topped the team in scoring (12.3) for the second straight year and led all rebounders (8.5) for the first time, ranking ninth and fifth, respectively, in the Little East Conference in those categories... named Little East Player-of-the-Week Jan. 7  after scoring 56 points and grabbing 39 rebounds with a 51.9 FG pct. in three games...  led or shared the team scoring lead 11 times and in rebounding 13 times and in both eight times...  represented Eastern on the Springfield College/Naismith Classic all-tournament team with two-game totals of 36 points and 23 rebounds and 17-of-28 (60.7) shooting from the floor... in the conference playoff loss to Rhode Island College, had 16 points and 14 rebounds and was 10-of-12 from the foul line with only one turnover in 40 minutes...shot 8-for-10 from the floor in a season-opening 64-33 win over Simmons College... season-highs(p-r-a-b): 25-16-2-2...

2011/12: One of two Eastern selections to the Little East Conference All-Rookie Team... started the final 17 games of the season and led the Warriors in scoring average (13.4) and FT pct. (.727) and was second in FG pct. (.427) and rebounding average (8.6), ranking among the LEC Top 10 in all three categories... selected LEC Rookie-of-the-Week in back-to-back weeks in January, averaging 22.3 points and 13.7 rebounds in three games en route to the first weekly award and 21.0 points and 12.0 rebounds in three games on the way to her second... recorded double-doubles in each of those six games and shot .789 percent from the foul line and .446 percent from the floor... posted double-doubles 12 times, including eight straight to open the 2012 portion of the schedule... totalled double figures in points in 15 of the final 17 games of the year, amassing 25 points (11-for-20 FG) in the season-final at UMass Boston... in her first conference road game, converted ten of 12 free throws and finished with a season-high 28 points to go along with 13 rebounds in a 15-point win over Plymouth State... in her collegiate debut in the season-opener against Johnson State, came off the bench for 19 points and 14 rebounds without a turnover in 23 minutes... season-highs (p-r-a-3s): 28-17-2-0...

High School:  Played basketball, soccer and softball, earning all-conference honors in each at least three times and was a first-team selection in each as a senior…  in basketball, two-time all-conference pick… in soccer, a three-year captain and four-time all-conference pick and team MVP… in softball, was a three-time all-conference selection… senior captain in all three sports…
