Box Score NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The Eastern Connecticut State University women's volleyball team closed out its winningest conference regular season in eight years, defeating University of Mass Dartmouth for the 37th time in the last 38 meetings Tuesday evening at the Tripp Athletic Center. Set scores were 25-18, 25-17, 25-19.
At right: Kay Mullen
Junior libero Allie Luppi (Tewksbury, MA) led Eastern with 26 digs and sophomore outside hitter Adrianna Mihalek (Woodbury) had nine kills with a .269 attack percentage, eight digs and three service aces.
Sophomore middle hitter Kay Mullen (Fairhaven, MA) also had nine kills with a .450 attack percentage and sophomore outside hitter Hannah Bryant (Avon) six kills and a .250 attack percentage. Senior setter Allie Henry (Middletown) had 16 assists.
Mathematically, Eastern can still finish with a share of second place (if Keene State loses at Rhode Island College Saturday), but the Warriors, unofficially, are guaranteed to be the No. 3 tournament seed and host the No. 6 seed in a first-round LEC playoff match Tuesday evening at Francis E. Geissler Gymnasium.
Eastern visits Connecticut College Wednesday at 7 p.m.
