Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Springfield College women's volleyball team attacked at .337 and scored ten points on service aces in a three-set non-conference sweep of Eastern Connecticut State University Friday night at the Tom Hay Invitational at Blake Arena. Set scores were 25-18, 25-17, 25-12.
The win is the tenth straight for Springfield (19-2) since losing in five sets at MIT. The sweep was the 16th this year for Springfield. The Warriors (9-9) had won six of eight entering play.
Springfield attacked at .548 in winning the first set, the Warriors managing a mark of only .073. In addiition to attacking at .337 in the match and serving ten aces, Springfield collected 18 block assists.

Kay Mullen (Fairhaven, MA) led Eastern with ten kills, junior Fabian Della-Monica setting for 15 assists, senior
Allie Luppi (Tewksbury, MA) picking up nine digs and handling 25 receptions with only one error.
Lauren Holt had 12 kills and a .476 attack percentage for Springfield, Haley Kmetz adding five kills with a .500 attack percentage, Jennifer Hurwitz handling 21 receptions without an error to go along with 11 digs.
At Springfield Saturday, Eastern plays non-conference matches against Keene State College at 10 a.m.and Westfield State University at 12:30 p.m.
