Box Score DANBURY, Conn. – Senior attack Tim Reilly (Hanover, MA) scored his 100th career goal and the Eastern Connecticut State University defense held Western Connecticut State University off the board for the first 21 minutes as the Warriors posted an 11-3 Little East Conference men's lacrosse victory Wednesday night at the Westside Athletic Complex.
With its seventh straight overall victory – equaling its longest win streak in seven years -- Eastern (8-4, 4-0 LEC) remains tied for first in the conference with three regular-season maches remaining. Western (2-10, 1-3 LEC) lost its fifth straight and 17th in this 17-game series with Eastern.
Reilly, who scored 22 goals as a freshman at New England College in 2013, reached the 100-goal plateau with his second of three goals with three minutes left in the first half as the Warriors posted a 6-2 halftime lead.
The Warriors scored the first five goals of the match – getting them from five different people – before senior attack Jesse Beatty got the Colonials on the board with an extra-man goal six minutes into the second quarter.

Dan Vasquez (Newington) and sophomore attack
David Borovsky (Burlington) each added two goals for Eastern, with senior midfielders
Michael Dellanno (Wakefield, MA) and
Liam Murphy (Dover, NH) chipping in a goal and two assists each. Vasquez also had two assists.
Junior faceoff midfielder
Jesse Schulze (Croton-on-Hudson, NY) won 12 of 13 faceoffs and scooped up six ground balls.
Eastern's man-down unit stopped six of Western's seven extra-man opportunities.
Senior goalie
Blake Smaldone (Hamilton, MA) made nine saves to record his fourth career win over Western in as many starts.
Eastern visits Plymouth State University Saturday at noon.
