Eastern leads the all-time series, 7-1, having won five in a row since losing in overtime, 11-10, at Castleton in the first meeting after the Spartans joined the LEC in 2019

The Warriors are 3-0 all-time at home against Castleton, winning by four goals in 2022 and seven goals in 2024 after a 23-2 blowout at home in the first round of the ECAC New England Tournament in 2005

On the final day of last year's regular season, the Warriors escaped with an 11-8 victory at Spartan Field that propelled them into the LEC playoffs. That match was the last of the season for Castleton, which finished 3-12 overall, 2-6 in the conference.

With the score tied after three quarters last year, Eastern limited the hosts to one goal in the fourth quarter to pull out an 11-8 victory.
Tanner Drobish's 20
th goal of the year gave Eastern the lead for good in the first minute of the fourth quarter. Drobish had three goals and three assists in the match and
Landon Mabb, a freshman last year, added three goals.
Gregory Hilinski made eight stops in goal.

Eastern is 2-1 at home; both of this year's wins have come on the road for Castleton.
The Spartans look to snap a five-game overall losing streak today, all coming in LEC play. The Spartans had won their LEC opener, 11-6, at the University of Southern Maine March 21.

Playing its fourth straight road game Wednesday, Eastern was drubbed by defending LEC playoff champion Western Connecticut, 20-5, which was a perfect 8-0 in the LEC regular season. The Warriors had won three of their previous four overall heading into the contest.

Eastern shares fifth place in the LEC standings with Plymouth State University, but holds the tie-breaker by virtue of an 11-7 home win over the Panthers back on March 28. The Sparts are in eighth place in the nine-team LEC.

Twenty different Eastern players have contributed a point this year and all four goalies have seen time in two or more matches. Castleton has received offensive numbers from nine different players, with junior
Finn Maniaci having played every minute in goal.
