WILLIMANTIC, Conn. -- The Eastern Connecticut State University swim team won all 11 events on the way to a 102-76 victory Western Connecticut State University Friday night at the Sports Center pool.

Junior Mollee Lasto (Orange) and twin sisters Megan and Maggie each won  one individual event, and combined on the winning 200 medley relay. Mollee won the 100 breaststroke, Maggie the 200 IM and Megan the 100 IM. The order of the winning 200 medley relay was Maggie, Megan, Mollee and junior co-captain Hayley Mangan (Manchester).

The order of the winning 200 freestyle relay was Megan, Maggie, Hayley Mangan and freshman Saige Grace (East Hampton).

In addition to swimming the anchor on the winning 200 freestyle relay, Grace won the 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke. Additional individual winners were Hayley Mangan in the 100 freestyle, senior Bridgett Furlong (Mansfield) in the 200 freestyle, junior Carly Mangan (Manchester) in the 100 butterfly and freshman Kerry-Rose Buchanan (Southington) in the 500 freestyle.

A total of 12 Eastern swimmers combined to swim their fastest times this year a total of 16 times. Junior Jessica Bielefield (Torrington), Carly Mangan, Grace, and freshman Amanda Mitchell (Rocky Hill) each recorded two season-bests, while Hayley Mangan, sophomore Jenilee Antonetty (Norwich), Kerry Buchanan, Furlong, sophomore Callan Veltheim (New London), Megan and Mollee Lasto, and freshman Tegan Ruschmeier (Vernon) registered one season-best each. Furlong dropped her time in the 500 freestyle under six minutes to 5:59.61, while Megan Lasto, in her first try this year, swam the fastest 50 freestyle (26.01) on the team this year, and also improved her team-best time in the 100 IM to 1:06.15.  Among upperclassemen, Furlong's time in the 500 freestyle and Carly Mangan's winning time in the 100 butterfly (1:05.31) represented career-bests.

Western is 0-2.

Eastern (3-0) faces Rhode Island College Saturday at 1 p.m. in a dual meet being held at Bryant University.
