Box Score NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Eastern Connecticut State University baseball team scored 13 runs in its final four at-bats, tied its season high with 21 hits and eight pitchers set a program record with 20 strikeouts in a 14-7 non-conference win over Albertus Magnus College Wednesday afternoon at Rochford Field.
Ranked No. 1 in New England and No. 21 nationally, Eastern (22-4) has won eight of ten while Albertus (3-12) dropped its eighth straight and is winless against Eastern in 13 games in this series.

Matt Malcom (East Lyme) all homered and freshman rightfielder and leadoff hitter
Jason Claiborn (Prospect) had his first four-hit game, extending his on-base streak to 23 and hitting streak to 12 and pushing his season average back over .400 to .409.
In a six-run seventh inning, Mesagno belted a two-run home run and Broadhurst added a solo shot and
Matt Malcom unloaded a three-run home run in the eighth. Broadhurst leads Eastern with six home runs, Malcom following with five. It was Mesagno's third of the year.

For the second time this year, Eastern equaled the program record by using eight pitchers, which combined to strike out a program-record 20 batters.
