WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
The Warriors did not score as a team in 2023 but were 17th in 2022 and 19th in 2021.
Eastern was the only Little East Conference institution to compete in the Mideast Regional, the others competing in the East Regional at Contoocook, NH. LEC team champion Keene State College was seventh in the East, UMass Dartmouth 15th, Plymouth State University 21st, and University of Southern Maine 22nd.
Senior two-year captain
Ali LeClerc was running in the regional for the fourth time, posting her highest finish and best time this year. LeClerc, who ran the table this year by leading the team at the finish in every race in which she competed (she missed the season-opener at Trinity while rehabilitating an injury), was 85th overall (23:37) in 2023, 92nd (26:07) in 2022 and 120th (25:43) in 2021. The first-team All-LEC runner had the third-fastest time in the regionals among LEC runners and the fourth-highest place.Â
Junior co-captian
Meghan Georgescu scored among the Top 100, following LeClerc by 63 seconds. As a sophomore, Georgescu led Eastern in five of the team's six races, including at the 2023 regionals (60th/22:53). In the 2022 regionals, Georgescu was 122nd overall (27:34).
Eastern's No. 3, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 7 runners were competing in cross country for the first time this year, and the No. 6 runner was running in the regional for the first time.
Among LEC runners in the regionals,
Emely Melendez was the second-fastest true freshman runner behind Keene's Ava Fortin -- who was 77th (24:33) in the East Regional -- and ahead of UMass Dartmouth's Ashlyn Byrnes, who was 116th (25:29) in the East. Melendez was Eastern's No. 4 finisher.
First-year sophomore
Isabel Cintron, who ran to second-team honors at the LEC Championship Nov. 2, ran No. 3 for the Warriors.
Graduate student
Carly Alston has been a member of the track & field teams but was competing in cross country for the first time after a four-year career with the soccer team. She was the team's fifth scorer.
Sophomore
Ella Campion was competing in the regional for the first time and was the team's No. 6 runner, with first-year cross country runner
Daria Fournier seventh. A junior, Fournier was a member of the basketball program each of the previous two years.

MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
Eastern was the only Little East Conference institution to compete in the Mideast Regional, the others competing in the East Regional at Contoocook, NH. LEC team champion Keene State College had the individual winner in LEC champion Jake Velazquez and was ninth overall, with Plymouth State University tenth, UMass Dartmouth 13th, and University of Southern Maine 16th.
Sam Ambrocio was the first true freshman to lead Eastern at the finish since former two-time All-LEC runner Ryan Escoda placed 76th in a field of 391 runners in a time of 26:39 at the 2018 New England Regionals (before regional re-alignment) at Bowdoin College. Among LEC true freshmen, Ambrocio had the fastest time in the regionals and the second-highest finish behind UMass Dartmouth's Jackson Caroon (67th/26:55). At the Nov. 2 LEC Championship, Ambrocio was named LEC Rookie-of-the-Year as the conference's top first-year runner and was a second-team All-LEC performer with an eighth-place finish. Ambrocio was the team's top finisher for the first time since an overall eighth-place finish among 149 finishers in his first collegiate meet Sept. 7 at the Trinity College Invitational and Wickham Park in Manchester.
Graduate student
Michael Parzych, a third-year transfer from Stonehill College, improved his position by one spot from a year ago in posting his best regional time (27:08) as the Warriors' No. 2 runner. Parzych had led the Warriors at the finish in three of the team's five races this year. Parzych earned first-team All-LEC honors at the LEC Championship two weeks ago.
Sophomore
Ashton Croteau finished the regional race for the first time and was the team's solid No. 3 runner, finishing among the Top 100 among 169 individuals who completed the race.
Placing 118th overall in a time of 28:14 in his first season in 2023, sophomore
Zachary D'Andrea just missed breaking into the Top 100. He was 104th overall as the team's No. 4 runner with a time of 27:51. D'Andrea, who was the team's top finisher at Connecticut College Invitational Oct. 19, earned second-team All-LEC honors at the LEC Championship Nov. 2 by placing 13th among 86 finishers.
Â
First-year runner
Joey Caruk was the squad's fifth and final scorer, with senior tri-captain
Dylan McGuire and first-year runner
Noah Hauswirth displacing as the teams' No. 6 and No. 7 runners. In 2022, McGuire was 96th overall in a time of 29:10. He was timed in 28:00 Saturday.
