Eastern men took 2-3 in the hammer, with
Jehu Angelo Armonio second (140-8) and
Ellis Thompson third (140-6); 2-3 in the 5000m, with
Digby Ludlow second (17:39.11) and
Ryan Djurkovic third (17:42.20); and 2-3 in the 400m hurdles, with
Michael Monty second (1:03.82) and
Jacob Boutote third (1:04.25).
Andrew Johnson's winning shot put throw of 40-8 1/4 kept him 19th all-time in that event.
Stephen Hyde recorded the eighth-longest discus throw (126-2) in program history, finishing fourth as Eastern's top finisher in that event
Conor Hennessy's javelin mark of 183-0 moved him from 12th all-time into a tie for fifth. He was second in that event as Eastern's top finisher.
Lucian Parker-Jennings' winning vault of 13-11 1/4 moved him from tenth all-time into a tie for sixth.
in the 800m,
Zachary D'Andrea's winning time of 1:56.61 moved him from 14th all-time into fifth place;
Thomas Stone's second-place time of 1;57.74 moved him from eighth all-time up two spots to sixth.
Aidan Hennessy's winning time of 15.6 in the 110m hurdles moved him from seventh to fifth all-time.
The men's 4x100 meter relay ran the second-fastest time in program history (42.32) and 4x400 the ninth-fastest (3:22.55)
Five facility records were either tied or broken:
The Eastern men's 4x100 (42.32) and 4x400 (3:22.55) relays set facility records in winning their events. The 4x100 broke Eastern's previous record of 42.63 set in 2009 and the 4x400 broke the University of New Haven's mark of 3:24.23, set in 2021.
Aryianna Garceau of UMass Boston set a facility record of 14.56 in winning the 100m hurdles. Jayci Andrews of Bridgewater State University had held the record of 14.75 in 2018.
Nicholas Silvo of the UConn Track Club team tied the facility record of 49.32 in the 400m. Fred Hewett of Eastern had set the record in 2014.
With her program-record 11- 3/4,
Natasha Frisch of Eastern tied the facility record in the pole vault first set by Etta Grover-Silva of Smith College in 2008.
