Sixth-place finish nets her All-LEC honors
WARWICK, R.I. – On the second and final day of the inaugural 2025 Little East Conference Women's Golf Championships Friday, Eastern Connecticut State University's five players improved by 28 strokes their first-day total and maintained their fourth-place ranking from Day 1 at the par-72, 5,636 yard Valley Country Club.
The only first-year program among the seven competing institutions, Eastern (855 points/+279) finished fourth in the seven-team field, maintaining its place after the first day of play. The only change in the standings from the first day came at the top, where Husson University (734/+158) couldn't hold a six-stroke lead after Day 1 and finished second by five strokes to Keene State College (729/+153).

Daria Fournier (Farmington) finished sixth in the 33-person field with 180 strokes (+36) and was accorded second-team All-LEC recognition (the top five finishers are first-teamers and the next five are second-teamers). First-year player

University of Southern Maine senior Remy Levin earned medalist honors (and thus was named LEC Player-of-the-Year) with a one-stroke victory over Keene State junior Madison Mousley. Levin and Mousley began the day two and four strokes, respectively, behind leader Caitlyn Chabot, a junior from Husson. Levin shot 13-over par for the second straight day Friday while Mousley shot 12-over and Chabot shot 18-over. As the tournament's top freshman finisher, Keene State's Sadie Murray was named LEC Rookie-of-the-Year after sharing fourth place at 32-over.
On the second day, Fournier improved her positioning by two places for her final sixth-place finish; Silva and Sarra both moved up a spot to their final finishes of 27
th and 31
st. Ramino shared 24
th place after Day 1 and finished in sole possession of 24
th, while Rose was 16
th after play Thursday and ended up with a share of 16
th.
Ramino improved her first-day total by 10 strokes Friday, shooting a 37-over 109; Fournier improved by eight strokes with a 14-over 86; Sarra by seven strokes by shooting a 54-over 126; and Silva knocked six strokes off her first-day total with a 44-over 116.
Fournier parred three holes on the front nine and three on the back nine Friday at Nos. 2, 3, 7, 12, 14, and 15. She closed out the tournament by birdieing the par-5, 435 yard 18
th hole; Rose, Ramino and Silva each had one par on Friday, Rose on the par-3, 112-yard sixth hole, Ramino on the par-5, 403-yard 16
th hole; and Silva on the par-4, 360-yard ninth hole.
The tournament concludes the team's fall season.
Women's golf was chosen as the 24
th LEC championship sport this past summer. The sport is comprised of five primary LEC institutions and two affiliate members.
Following a mandatory two-year waiting period, the LEC champion will receive an automatic berth in the NCAA Division III Championships beginning in 2027-28.
