Coach Megan Silver-Droesch on the senior duo:
"Obviously, they're fantastic at volleyball, but their big legacy is how they've influenced our culture. They're very kind, they're really great at calling people in [and saying] 'hey, let's do this this way.' They're supportive, they're great teammates, they're very different, but they complement each other so well."
On Samantha Blandford:
"She's very much a team first person. When we started moving things around, we brought in more setters, and she [said], 'Coach, I'm good. I just need a role, where do I fit?' And she has absorbed and fought for every single role that she has got and earned all of it, so there's nothing that's above her, below her, all of those things, [she says]' Â 'I'm here for it, let's go.'"
On Liz Squier:
"She coaches a U12 team, she coaches boys, she coaches club teams, so she's got a coach's mindset, so she's been really fun to bounce ideas off of. [I'll say], 'what do you think about this? Does this this address the need? Does this drill work?' and she'll be pretty honest [and might say], 'I think that'll work', or 'I think it needs to be modified.' So it's been fun having a coach as an athlete because she's kind with her feedback [and] she's also happy to give it."

Liz Squier:Â
What is one of your most memorable moments or a memory you will cherish from your time with this program?  "My most memorable moment would have to be beating WestConn this season." Â
What has been the most rewarding part of being a member of this program? "Meeting and playing with the people I have met and played with. I have developed lifelong friendships with some of the people on this team and they have truly made this experience unforgettable." Â
How has this program shaped you as a person?  "I learned I can do almost anything. If I work hard, stay curious, and be resilient, I am able to do so much more than one could think."Â
What is a life lesson that you learned during your time with this program?  "The concept of resiliency. [Fellow senior Samantha Blandford]  and I started a tradition this year of putting a word on the back of our warmups that we want to define our season. We picked the word 'resilient'. I think that word has described our four years here and, without knowing it, made us the people that we are today. Being able to not only be a collegiate athlete but pursue life and academics off the court is hard, but we did it!"
