WILLIMANTIC, Conn. – Eastern Connecticut State women's swimming's Kalyn Baron was named Little East Conference Rookie Swimmer of the Week, the conference announced on Monday (Oct. 26).

Baron helped the Warriors to a third-place finish at the Chris Fisher Invitational over the weekend. The first year took seventh in the 500 freestyle (5:45.01) and ninth in the 200 freestyle (2:08.18).

The Ocean City, N.J. native also swam in two relays for Eastern, picking up a sixth-place finish in the 200 medley relay (2:03.75) and a ninth-place finish in the 200 free relay (1:56.52).
