WILLIMANTIC, Conn. -- As the Little East Conference Semifinals get underway this afternoon for Eastern Connecticut State University Women's Soccer, the IWSOC Division III Coaches Poll in Partnership with the United Soccer Coaches Regional Poll continues to put the Warriors seventh in the Region I poll, as announced by the organization later in the day on Tuesday.
It is a familiar spot for Eastern over the last five weeks now, as they have been ranked regionally in all but one week of the 2026 season in the IWSOC Poll, while last week's seventh-place spot in the NCAA Regional Rankings was the first of the year. With the 1-1 tie at Rhode Island College to end the regular season, the Warriors slipped out of a top seven spot in the NCAA Regional Rankings, as they closed the season 11-2-2.
Tonight, Eastern looks to get revenge on the fifth-seeded Anchorwoman, whom it will face at 5:00 PM at Rick McCarthy Field, with a bid to the LEC Championship Match on the line. The last three matches between the two sides ended in ties, while Rhode Island College took the 2023 matchup at Rick McCarthy Field, 2-1.
