PAXTON, Mass. – A week after a breakthrough Little East Conference victory over Plymouth State University, the Eastern Connecticut State University men's lacrosse team lost its first match ever – by a goal -- to Salem State University.
Wednesday, the Warriors (3-4) unleashed their frustrations by scoring the first 17 goals of the match and riding to a 21-1 non-conference rout of shorthanded Anna Maria College (1-11) at Caparso Field in the first meeting between the programs in seven years. It marked the Warriors' first victory away from Rick McCarthy Field in four contests this year.
