There were only 5:30 minutes of penalties in the contest but the teams combined to connect on five of seven extra-man tries. Goalies Max Kimmel (RWU) and Nick Collazo combined to make 22 saves

  • Freshmen Jake Correia and Cooper Bengtson combined for a 56% success rate from the faceoff X, winning 14 of 25 faceoffs against Farmingdale State
  • Eastern looks to snap a two-game home-opening losing streak since drubbing Salem State University in a Little East Conference match, 18-1, in 2023. The Warriors had played their first six matches (2-4 record) on the road that year before opening at Rick McCarthy Field. The Warriors won three of five at home that year
  • Eastern has been idle for eight days (having had three of its first four matches postponed or cancelled) while RWU is coming off Wednesday's 11-7 home loss to Kean University in its fifth match of the year. The Cougars forced 27 turnovers against the Hawks and never allowed more than two goals in a period. The teams were 2-of-10 in extra-man opportunities
  • First-year RWU assistant Devin Callahan is a former four-year Eastern player and assistant coach
