Rhode Island and its High-Powered Offense Invades Washburne Field for LEC Games

  • 103rd and 104thĀ meetings all time. Series dates back to April 6, 1977, where the Anchorwomen won 14-10 in Mansfield, CT. Warriors own the series lead, 73-29.
  • Eastern is currently on a twelve-game winning streak against Rhode Island College. The last win for the Anchorwomen over the Warriors was a 13-10 victory in Providence, RI on April 2, 2019.   • The Warriors have won three out of their last four games, beginning with a 5-2 win over nationally-ranked WPI, which now sits at 28-2 after Eastern handed the Engineers their second loss of the season. Mitchell pitched another complete game, allowing five hits and only one earned run. After splitting that doubleheader, the Warriors won a Little East Conference doubleheader against UMass Boston. In game two, Jordan Bennett made her first career start on the mound, pitching 5.1 innings and allowing just two hits and a run in a 4-1 win
  • The Anchorwomen had their four-game winning streak snapped by VTSU Castleton, which defeated the Anchorwomen in an a LEC doubleheader on Saturday. Rhode Island College posted a pair of impressive five-inning wins, defeating Bridgewater State and Western Connecticut by a combined score of 24-1 across the two games. In their most recent game against Castleton, the Spartans scored eight in the bottom of the first, forcing Ashleigh von der Linden to be pulled after 0.1 innings
