Men's Soccer: Warriors Shoot for Second Straight Little East Win This Year

Team Records:
Eastern – Overall: 3-2-0 / Conference: 1-0-0
VTSU Castleton – Overall: 3-3-3 / Conference: 0-1-0

Series History:
The Warriors and Spartans will clash for the 12th time since 1968 on Saturday. The Warriors hold a 10-1 all-time series lead over the Spartans, with their first loss coming last year in a 1-0 game at Castleton. Under head coach Greg DeVito, the Warriors are 7-1 overall against Castleton, and 4-0 at home. The Warriors have also posted shutouts against Castleton in two of their last four home wins.

Impact Players:
Eliot Melgar (So., F): The two-time LEC Offensive Player of the Week (10/14/24 & 9/14/25) scored his first two goals of the season, including the game winner in a 3-2 victory over rival Keene State.
Sebastian Kadlof (Jr., MF) – Kadlof recorded two assists in a game for the second time this season against Keene State en route to a 3-2 victory. Kadlof currently leads the conference in assists with 4.

Who Knew? 
Eastern won the first meeting 3-0 in the first round of the NAIA regional in 1968. That team went on to qualify for the NAIA national tournament for the first time in program history. The win also extended Eastern's 12-game unbeaten streak to 13.
