Women's Volleyball: Warriors Tackle Wildcats, Brewers at Home Saturday

Team Records:
Eastern: 7-2
Johnson and Wales: 7-3
Vassar: 7-1

Series History vs. Johnson & Wales: This will be the 22nd meeting between Eastern and Johnson and Wales since 1998, and the first since 2018. Eastern won the first 7 games of the series by identical scores of 3-0. The Warriors lead the all-time series 13-8, 9-5 all-time at home. This will be the first home match under Megan Silver-Droesch against the Wildcats. The last time the Warriors and Wildcats met, it was the Wildcats getting the better of the Warriors in Providence in 2018. However, the last time the Wildcats came to Willimantic, the Warriors downed them in a 3-1 contest.

Series History vs. Vassar: This will be the fourth meeting all-time between Eastern and Vassar, though the first meeting between the two during the 21st century. Vassar won the first match of the series in 1995, but the Warriors won the next two in 1996 and 1998. All three times the two teams have met, the location has been a neutral site. In 1995 and 1996, they met at the MIT invitational, while in 1998, the two met at Western Connecticut State University Invitational. The Warriors finished 3rd, 2nd, and 1st, respectively, in those tournaments.

Impact Players:
Emerson Conigliaro (So./L) – Last Saturday, Conigliaro had 31 digs and a .917 reception percentage on a team-high 60 attempts on the day. Conigliaro currently leads the team in digs with 106.

Allegra Copeland (Fy./Pin) – The Week 2 LEC Rookie-of-the-Week had 23 kills in two matches last Saturday. Copeland led the team with 6 kills on 9 attempts in the third set against Westfield State, and had 15 kills against the University of New England

Who Knew:
- Silver-Droesch's first win as a head coach at Eastern came against Johnson and Wales on Aug. 30, 2014.

- Eastern assistant coach Hannah Pena played for current Vassar head coach Tyler Blank as a senior in 2022 at Manhattanville College in Blank's first season there. During that season, the Warriors and Valiants faced off, with the Valiants claiming the win.
