Women's Lacrosse: Four From Eastern Earn Little East Conference Recognition

WILLIMANTIC, Conn. – Four Warriors received Little East Conference Honors on Wednesday for their accomplishments during Eastern's 2026 women's lacrosse season. Alexa Vizzini (Vernon, NJ) and Grace Saldaña (Colchester) were named First Team All-LEC, while Hannah Seltzer (Westerly, RI) and Emma Oliano (Wallingford) received LEC Honorable Mentions. The Warriors were 9-8 in 2026, going 6-2 in conference play to secure the third seed in the Little East. After a dominant 14-4 display against Keene State in the first round, the Warriors fell to Southern Maine 13-6 in the semifinals.
 
First Team All-LEC
Alexa Vizzini, Sr., Vernon, NJ (Vernon)
Vizzini is named First Team All-Little East Conference for her fourth consecutive year, leading the Warriors in goals with 59 (t-3rd in LEC), assists with 22, points with 81, and draw controls with 74 in her 17 games played. She moves into second all-time in goals (218) and points (280), trailing only Mo Deegan (2002-05) who has 243 goals and 379 points. Vizzini finishes her career ranked sixth all-time with 62 assists. Her 37 ground balls and 26 caused turnovers are the second-most on the team this season. In the March 25th game against Worcester State, Vizzini scored ten goals, tying the single-game record set by Erin Brynes against Montclair State on April 23, 1998.
 
Grace Saldaña, Jr., Colchester (Bacon Academy)
Saldaña is named First Team All-LEC for her second time in her third year with the program, previously receiving honors in 2024. Last year, she was named Second Team All-LEC, earning recognition for all three of her seasons. Saldaña played 16 games, scoring her lone goal of the season in the 17-10 loss at Westfield State on March 31. She led the team in ground balls with 44, caused turnovers with 27, ranking third with 22 draw controls. In the Warriors' 19-4 win over Rhode Island College on April 8, Saldaña recorded 12 ground balls and caused nine turnovers.
 
Honorable Mentions
Hannah Seltzer, So., Westerly, RI (Westerly)
Seltzer receives a Little East Conference Honorable Mention for the first time in her second year with the program, having been named to the 2025 LEC Sportsmanship Team. In 17 games, she scored 28 goals and had eight assists, including 28 ground balls, 24 draw controls, and nine caused turnovers. Her 24 draw controls put her second in the team rankings, only behind Vizzini. In the April 3rd game against UMass Boston, Seltzer led the Warriors with eight points, scoring five goals and providing three assists.
 
Emma Oliano, Gr., Wallingford (Mark T. Sheehan)
Oliano receives a Little East Conference Honorable Mention for the first time in her fourth year of action with the program. In 17 games, Oliano scored 13 goals, provided 11 assists, with 31 ground balls and 23 caused turnovers. She ranks third on the team in caused turnovers and third in ground balls. Three of Oliano's assists came during the Warriors' 13-12 win against Keene State on April 15, a game Eastern trailed 11-5 with just over four minutes remaining in the third quarter.
