Nicholas P. Nedwick made his mark at both ends of the floor in helping the Warriors, as a senior, to their first Little East Conference regular-season men’s basketball title ever and to their first LEC tournament championship in 12 years and to post-season tournament berths in each of his final three years. Nedwick graduated as the program’s all-time leading scorer with 1,657 points. Ten years after leaving the program, the Irvington, NY native still ranks second all-time in points and among the all-time Top 5 in six additional categories. The 5-foot-11 inch guard earned a spot on the LEC All-Defensive Team three times and was named Defensive Player-of-the-Year twice. Despite a hard-charging, high-octane style which results in numerous nagging and painful injuries, Nedwick missed only two of a possible 115 games in his career -- starting all 113 games in which he appeared – and led the conference in minutes played twice, averaging 32 minutes a game in his career. As part of a  team which included four potential future Alumni Hall of Fame players, Nedwick capped his brilliant career as a senior by helping to spark the Warriors to two NCAA tournament victories – the second one a double-overtime thriller over homestanding SUNY Oswego – and a berth in the Sweet 16. Nedwick earned his B.S. Degree in Physical Education from Eastern and is certified as a special education adolescent generalist from Lehman College and resides in Tarrytown, NY. Following graduation, he played professional basketball for two years in Italy and is currently employed as a special education
teacher at Pleasantville (NY) High School.
